Rule the World - Take That (Love This Song)

Was watching Stardust - the movie yesterday. Heard this song as the movie ended. It was beautiful. I could almost imagine singing it for him under a sky full of stars. Oh so beautiful it would be!

The song is "Rule The World" by Take That. Here are the lyrics:

You light, the skies up above me
A star, so bright you blind me
Don't close your eyes
Don't fade away
Don't fade away

Yeah you and me we can ride on a star
If you stay with me girl, we can rule the world
Yeah you and me we can light up the sky
If you stay by my side, we can rule the world.

If walls break down, I will comfort you
If angels cry, oh I'll be there for you
You've saved my soul
Don't leave me now
Don't leave me now

Yeah you and me we can ride on a star
If you stay with me girl, we can rule the world
Yeah you and me we can light up the sky
If you stay by my side, we can rule the world.

All the stars are coming out tonight
They're lighting up the sky tonight
For you
For you
All the stars are coming out tonight
They're lighting up the sky tonight
For you
For you,

Yeah you and me we can ride on a star
If you stay with me girl, we can rule the world
Yeah you and me we can light up the sky
If you stay by my side, we can rule the world.

All the stars are coming out tonight
They're lighting up the sky tonight
For you
For you
All the stars are coming out tonight
They're lighting up the sky tonight
For you
For you
[repeat]

Monsoon enters Mumbai - Happy or Sad?

Monsoon in Mumbai
Yesterday it rained yet again in Mumbai hence making it official that Monsoon has hit the city! Facebook posts, Tweets and BBM statuses were flooded with updates about the rains. Some were rejoicing while some were complaining.

This has always been the case with this city. The rains are either crazily loved or extremely hated. Why so?

First, let's see what makes us fall in love with this beautiful weather:
  • I love the fragrance of the wet soil during Monsoon.
  • I love getting drenched in the rain.
  • I love sitting at the beach watching it rain over the sea.
  • I love the clouds.
  • I love the weather, It becomes so romantic.
  • I love enjoying a 'Bhutta' when it rains.
  • I love playing football in the rains.

Now let's see why we absolutely hate Monsoons in Mumbai:
  • Traffic increases during Monsoons.
  • Hate getting drenched when I am about to go to a meeting or an interview.
  • The weather is unpredictable.
  • When it rains, it is pleasant. When it stops raining, it becomes humid!
  • Roads are so damaged during monsoons.
  • Streets start flooding even with the slightest of heavy rains.
  • There is mud and muck all over with garbage and drains overflowing.

Maybe we are born hypocrites. Or maybe it's just this season's fault.

Now I don't know about you, but I love rains and at the same time I love complaining about it as well! What about you? Do you have a Hate and Love Story with the rains too? Share your Monsoon Experiences with me. :)

What to Blog About?

One of the confusions I face is when I am trying to decide what to blog about next!
So what the heck! Here goes the list that goes on in my head:

  1. Hometown and the locals (1.22 Billion people, 28 states, 7 Union Territories and uncountable cities, suburbs and villages!)
  2. Fashion (This makes me want to go shopping!)
  3. Food (just hog!)
  4. Places to visit (or have already visited)
  5. Social Media (debate over the pros and cons)
  6. Society (crib about it)
  7. Politics (condemn it)
  8. Sports ( I don't follow... :-| )
  9. Love (Searching, Dating, Relationships, Break Ups, Patch Up..... you get the drift... )
  10. Movies (Reviews, actors, actresses, bitchiness, ego battles, page 3 parties, and so on)
  11. Health (how to stay fit, healthy food, exercises, etc.)
  12. Photography (Love it!)
  13. Human Behaviour (Interesting topic...)
  14. Emotions (Talk about the tears or the laughs)
  15. Observations (How much ever random they are)
What do you suggest? What topics should I talk about in my blog posts?

Street Photography - The Working Old Man

The Working Old Man
The Working Old Man

Spotted him at Purushwadi, Kasara..... He was quite old, yet so dedicated and focused on his work.

His competitors were all young chaps marketing their products while he sat there patiently, arranging the ropes, unaffected by all the chaos around him....
